The Parish of Middleton St George enjoys a very low crime rate, as such, it can often be neglected when it comes to regular policing.
Cllr. Catherine Gilsenan is the Parish council crime liaison, Should you feel anything needs bringing to the attention of the parish council please contact her.
PCSO (8120) Patryk Montelatyc, and his Colleague PC (2449) Becky Ruck. are the current PC and PCSO for the areas of Middleton St George, Hurworth and Neasham after replacing PC Paul Foley and PCSO John Angus. Patryk has been in the current role since the beginning of 2017. He says “Although I am new to the role I thrive on a challenge and look forward to working with you all in the future. PC RUCK has been a Police officer for over 13 years, covering Darlington, Newton Aycliffe and Bishop Auckland. Our aim is to prevent/reduce crime and deal with Anti-Social behaviour affecting our communities.”
The priorities for Middleton St George have been agreed in prior meetings and all the partners are working towards reducing anti-social behaviour in the village. Speeding also remains a priority and we are also working towards educating motorists who travel through the villages by the use of speed watch. The village now has its own equipment and those involved carry out regular speed watch checks.
The current crime report for each month is incorporated into and published with the minutes of the Parish Council meetings.
