Water Park – Work on the South Facing Bank Sides of the three former Reservoirs

Residents have informed the Parish Council that work will be starting on one of the bank sides in the Water Park which will necessitate the temporary closure of footpaths.

The Parish Council has not as yet been given a date when the work on the bank side of the three former reservoirs will start and end.  The Parish Council have asked a contractor to clear the vegetation and undergrowth from the south facing bank side of the three former reservoirs.  The trees on the bank side will not be touched.

The clearance work will be followed by the south bank side being re-seeded.  The Parish Council engaged a Structural Engineer to examine the stability of the three former reservoirs in the light of the building work in the next field to the rear of High Stell.  The Structural Engineer strongly recommended that to create greater stability the vegetation and undergrowth be removed from the south facing bank side and replaced by grass similar to the north facing bank side of the three former reservoirs.  This is the work which will be carried out.

Further details of the start and end date for the clearance work will be given when the contractor has responded to the request for information.
