A meeting of the Parish Council will be held next Monday 9th February 2026 at 6.30 p.m. in the Parish Council Meeting Room

The meeting will be open to the public but, the number of members of the public who wish to attend will have to be restricted because of the size of the Meeting Room.  Will members of the public please let the Clerk to the Parish Council know that they will be attending by emailing him on clerk@middleton-st-george.org.uk.  

There will be a Public Participation Session of 15 minutes duration at the beginning of the meeting.   Each person to speak for a maximum of 3 minutes. It would be helpful if members of the public write to the Clerk (email: clerk@middleton-st-george.org.uk in advance of the meeting to advise if they wish to speak.

MIDDLETON ST. GEORGE PARISH COUNCIL

VACANCIES IN THE OFFICE OF PARISH COUNCILLOR

I hereby give Notice that TWO vacancies exist in the office of Parish Councillor for the Middleton St. George Parish Council.

Rule 5(2) of the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules, 2006, now applies.

The rule allows TEN ELECTORS for the parish in which the casual vacancies exist to request the Returning Officer to hold an election to fill the vacancies. That request must be made in writing within fourteen working days of the date of the notice and must be received no later than midnight on FRIDAY 20th February2026.

The Returning Officer’s address is Electoral Services, Operations Group, Darlington Borough Council, Town Hall, Darlington, DL1 5QT and the telephone number for further guidance is 01325 406444.

Christmas Tree Collection Service

Darlington Rotary Club will again be collecting  Christmas Trees

in Middleton St. George  in aid of St. Teresa’s Hospice

 Please bring your Christmas  Tree to the Water Park  and deposit it by the litter bin at the entrance on the  Old Chapel side of the entrance  BY 9.30 A.M. ON SATURDAY 10TH JANUARY 2026

 Any trees deposited after this date and time will not be collected.

 Alternatively you can book your collection on line at www.darlingtonhospice.org.uk/CTC

by 8 a.m. Wednesday 7th January, 2026.
